Turkey Leg Ball 2011

The Immaculate Infatuation guys write one of my favorite restaurant blogs in New York City. That being said their second annual Turkey Leg Ball last night at the Hudson Terrace rocked and their appreciativeness towards their fans really showed. The posh venue, out in the middle of nowhere, offers two-floors of spacious lounging and dance floors with views overlooking the Hudson River. The infamous Danny Meyer’s Union Square Events catered delicious Thanksgiving-inspired bites. The buns on the Veggie Sliders were thick and fluffy like challah and the Gingerbread & Ricotta Doughnuts tasted like cake doughnuts with the dip definitely adding the winning touch. Catering for a large event is always a hassle, but I was very impressed with the easy access to the food and continuous moving flow at the bar.

Of course, these music industry dudes provided bumpin’ jams such as: Foster the People, Jay-Z & Kanye West, Earth Wind & Fire, etc. The crowd was young, ready to have a good time, hipster and it seemed like everyone was sporting trendy glasses and sweaters. The photo booth with props such as: blow-up turkey legs, hats, sunglasses and microphones added fabulous entertainment. However, what’s sexier than watching good looking kids get their hands dirty while chowing down on massive turkey legs in public, right? It was well worth the humiliation. Overall, huge kudos to the Immaculate Infatuation team for a successful, laid back party! The only thing that could have made the night more rad was a special appearance by Danny Meyer himself, but lets be real.
